The summer is essentially divided into two sessions, with a five day Paris excursion (and course) between the two terms. The month of June consists of a language course, taught by native speakers at an accredited language school in Montpellier, and a second course that focuses on the culture, history, and language of the South of France. The Paris course allows students to explore numerous aspects of the City of Lights and to then see in person how the city compares to the readings that they have done. Our second summer sessions consists of two courses, usually a specialty literature course that would never be offered on campus and business French, with some hands on experience with local establishments.
In addition to our academic curriculum, we also offer numerous excursions every year. We have visited such places as Aigues Mortes and the Camargue, Sète, Béziers, Carcassonne, Arles, Nîmes, Avignon, Orange, Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert, les Baux de Provence, the Abbaye de Sénanque, and the castles of the Loire Valley.
